Season 2021/22 is finished.. ..and what a season it was! comfortably the best in my clubs short history. We played much better football this year, and reaped the rewards for it. Finished TOP of the championship by 11 points, after not losing in our final 16 games. The team played much better as a unit this year, and I'm so pleased to have won promotion. Going to be a tough ride next year, but the target is just gonna be to "fight bravely against relegation" and i think we have every chance of surviving. The bank balance is nice and healthy, plus we have the extra TV money to come, so it shouldnt be a problem strengthening the squad, providing we can attract the right calibre of players. Elsewhere this season, we had some memorable cup runs too, even managing to somehow win the Carling Cup, beating Brentford, Luton, Coventry (pens), Sunderland, Arsenal and Newcatle on the way to meeting my parent club, West Ham in the final! Also got to the 5th round of the FA cup for the first time, only just losing to Charlton. Nogueira now has 236 goals in 301 games in all competitions, and is my club captain. He's about to turn 28 so is just coming into his prime, which is great news for us. He's probably been one of my best ever signings on FM, and itll be a sorry day for us when he eventually retires. final tablehomescreen

We also have a new kit sponsorship deal, worth £400k/year, and the board have decided to pay off noe of the outstanding loans they took out to build the current ground. This leaves us 9 years of debt left, although they could comfortably pay it off if they chose to. Also now have Everton as a feeder club (how the mighty have fallen) and we're up to 110th on the club rankings list, just above everton and spurs

Its been a great start to the season for us. we seem to have made the step up pretty easily, and the goals are still flowing.. at both ends! after 10 games, we've on 5 drawn 2 and lost 3, 28 for, 19 against, and currently sittin pretty in 5th place! made it through to the group stage of the Uefa cup, although i doubt we'll get any further, been handed an awful group: PSG, Villareal, Austria Wien and Mlada Boleslav. Should be interesting, to say the least!!

into january now, and this season is unbelieveable... we qualified top of the UEFA cup group, we're motoring along in the league, still in the carling cup, and makin a healthy profit a long the way. its strange when ya think its basically the same players that ive had for the past few seasons... maybe one or two additions.. certtainly this year i signed 2 left backs as cover, another defensive mid and another left winger. the rest of my signings were players i considered good prospects for the future. the starting 11 is pretty much the same as last season, and we're currenty in a champions league place in the league! im just praying he dont "do a hull"

season 2022/23 over... one word sums this season up... WOW!!! expecting a season fo struggle, and predicted to come last, we tore up the predictions and took to life in the premiership like a duck to water. we never looked outclassed, indeed we pulled off some memorable results in the first season, most notably a 7-0 win over man city! we did the double over liverpool and chelsea, and finished a comfortable 6th place. the cups were great too, although a shockin performance over both legs of the semi finals cost us the chance to defend our league cup crown. sheff weds easily outplayed us, which is rather embarrassing... the fa cup final vs wigan was a good game, despite going a goal down, we hit back and ran out comfortable winners in the end. building up a nice collection of silverware here!! premiershiphome screen

Well, that's it for my 10/11 season. Finished the season trophy-less, but at least we have more time to improve on the squad next season. For some reason, we did not manage to get into a playoff spot ALL season, reaching 8th twice, and then dropping a few spots immediately the next week. As you can see, we virtually self destructed in our last few games with our lost of form. Ziatyk almost single handedly pushed the team into a playoff spot, coming in for free in January 2011, scoring 9 in 18 starts, finishing the season as the clubs top scorer in less than half a season. My defense is pretty crap against these semi-big guns. I will definitely be looking to making a few signings to cover up the holes at the back. See you in my 11/12 season review then! Cheers!

Sorry for the huge ass SS on my previous post, was just trying out another image uploading site. I promise it won't happen again! Anyways I took a gamble and cancelled my links with Bolton at the start of the 11/12 season as they got relegated to Championship. Asked for another parent club and got Blackburn. Not much of an improvement I know, but at least they are a Prem club, and I'm getting 1k/month more!

In an exact repeat of the previous year's fixture, there definitely wasn't going to be a repeat of results. Having beat Oldham 3-0 the previous year, I went into this confident of repeating an upset. Going into half time one goal up from a spectacular long range effort, I told my guys not to get complacent, and sending the same 11 out for the second half. However, within 2 minutes of the restart, my defender brought down their man in the box, leaving the ref no choice but to award them a penalty. Unlucky. Making 2 changes in personel in the 60th minute, leaving all tactics unchanged, I was hoping the fresh feets would do us at least some good. In the 72nd minute though, Oldham made it 2-1 in their favour. At this time you might think Hyde's luck had been completely overturned, we pulled level in the 92nd minute, forcing the game to be decided with penalty shots.. The rest was history. Full time! This year's fixtureThe exact same fixture a year ago

things just get better for my Solihull team, we're unstoppable!! won super cupgutted it was only 2-14 league games into the new prem season, and we're 2nd, beat Blackburn 5-0, Reading 5-1, then lost to Arsenal 1-0! club value is now £170m, still got loan debt of 11.75 from buildin new stadium, although we're gonna be needing another one before long if we keep up this success!

am takin a wee break from the challenge, my pc needs some work doing on it, maybe getting a new one. its running too damned slow and im losing patience with it. its 5 years old, so maybe its time for it to bite the dust...
quick update > played 9 games, sitting happily in 4th in prem atm, into 4th rnd of the carling cup, and group stage of uefa cup (feyenoord, udinese, poli 1921 and slovan liberec in group)
need to do some squad trimming too i think, ive just looked an i have 82 players on my books! thats a little excessive, to say the least!!
will hopefully be back at this soon, best of luck to everyone else!

I'm also taking a break from this for the time being. My footballing season has just started and trainings and games are coming hard and fast. Just played our first game of the season last weekend and glad to say we won 4-0. Will update as soon as I have time to play FM. Cheers.

It probably has something to do with your computer's slow processing speed or its RAM. Not too sure tough.
