This is basically what came about from trying to tweak my Celtic team to suit the players I already had, I ended up making a few transfers to sort out some areas but for me this tactic has been, largely, successful. With my original team, Celtic, it won me:
Then, in another game I decided to try it with Tottenham Hotspurs, also with very good results.
Recently I also went Scotland with this tactic and have had some nice results in my first two matches:
Basically the tactic is:
Basically if you decide to try this tactic:
Right/Left Wing-Backs : Get forward and run with the ball a lot, support the attacking midfielders, need some good pace, acceleration and crossing stats to work well in this tactic, dribbling was useful for me too.
Centre Backs : Defensive line is mostly set to stay back so mostly just your usual center back ratings.
Center Mid(With arrow leading to defence): This position is essential And you should by all means splash out for a good position to cover it. IF you have a bad player playing this positon, in my experience then you will conceed lots, lots more. Closes down all over so good stamina. I'd also reccomend good tackling passing and anticipation as he will be the man you're wanting to start any offensive plays, with the right pass.
Central Midfielders (attacking minded): Pace and acceleration are key here along with crossing, dribbling andpassing. I also had one with a high long shots rating and told them to hit them often, scored a lot via long shots.
Attacking Midfield Left: I have him constantly running and sending crosses into your lone striker and any midfielders getting forward. Good finishing is useful too as I set he would attack the goals often too.
Attacking Midfield Right: High creativity, is mostly the main thing for this position, pace isn't as necessary for this. I also made sure he was a very technical player with good set piece ratings with good passing, first touch and dribbling. Set with a free role too.
Striker: If I play lone striker I like him to be a target man so Heading, Strength, Jumping and finishing are essential also made sure he had a good first touch and composure
