Wondering what you all think of the Chelsea situation at the moment? Hiddink has apparently arrived until the end of the season, good move? I was surprised as I am sure you all were that big Phil got the boot but results werent great I suppose and a new manager just might send Chelsea on an incredible run to the title?

I think the decision to sack Scolari was made too soon as I think given time he could have come good. Remember how Chelsea were playing at the start of the season? There's no reason why he couldn't get the players playing like that again. Abramovich had no intention of giving him funds as he was probably already thinking about sacking him at the start of the transfer window, who knows who he could have bought with money. Alright Deco was a bad buy, not because he isn't good, but because they don't need him. It would have been worth getting him if he was early 20's, but he will be retiring at the same sort of time as Lampard and Ballack. I think if Abramovich had of given the extra money for Robinho + Chelsea hadn't announced him as their player before getting him Chelsea could be in a very different situation now as he would easily be the best on the wing out of all their current players. Also against the very defensive teams that have managed to come away from Stamford bridge with a 0-0 draw Robinho would be able to use his skill and tricks to get past defenders. (Like yesterday against 3 Italy defenders). By winning these games Chelsea's morale wouldn't have dropped so low, which should get the defenders and goalkeeper playing at their best and stop them from making these little mistakes that have cost them goals and points.
However now that Scolari is gone, I think getting Hiddink is an excellent decision as I can't think of any other managers as good as or better than Hiddink who would take the job for only 4 months.
You gotta feel for Tony Adams though, as he got sacked on the same day as Scolari, no ones talking about him leaving!

I was very surprised to find out that Scolari has been sacked by Chelsea and i honestly think that it was a very bad move. But possible the best for Chelsea as Scolari couldn't care any much less, he shrugged his shoulder at everything and i won't be surprised if he has at his sacking by Chelsea. I completely agree with Sir Alex Ferguson's comment that no clubs have got no patience in managers anymore apart from Manchester United and Arsenal. Liverpool is out of the question because of board's stupidity.
But seriously i am just thankful that it hasn't happened before the match against Liverpool as that defeat by Liverpool was a serious dent in trying to win the title. It would be very interesting to see how Huddink would do as i am a big fan of him and i will see lots of him this year. It would be interesting to see if morale and the form will increase because of Huddink's appointment or if Scolari was actually wrong in something. But i just hope that the form will stay the same as it has now so Liverpool can have a real go at Manchester United without worrying to look behind their back.
But nevertheless, good luck for Chelsea and Huddink to get the form and morale back, it would be very interesting.
