NB: This isnt exactly a story just to update you from my Reading game. Reading Football Club First Season Transfers in:Andy Carroll - Newcastle - loan Aquino - Murcia - £3M Jay Demerit - Watford - £3.5 Chris Gunter - Tottenham - loan Total = £6.5M Transfers out:Kevin Doyle - Hull - £3.6M Jamel Forde-Small - Macclesfield - £9k Khalifa Cisse - Derby - £3M Bobby Convey - Derby - £2.4M Total = £9M League TableWas expected to finish 3rd but I was top for the majority of the season and when the results really mattered I slipped up and Ipswich took advantage, winning the league by 8 points in the end. At least we were still going up. Aquino really impressed me. Signed him when he was 16 and expected him to be a backup player but when Stephen Hunt got injured I gave him a chance. He certianly took it! Getting Man of the Match on his first 2 appearances and setting up 4 in 2 as well as getting 1 goal. Ended up finishing the season with 18 goals, 26 assists in 35 appearances. Shane Long was top goalscorer but. Scoring 24 times in 43 appearances, winning him Reading Player of the Year. Carling Cup Put out at the 3rd Round sadly. Easily disposed of Wycombe in the 1st Round, winning 3-1 at their ground. This was Aquino's first game, setting up 2 and getting MOTM. In the next round I faced Rochdale at their ground as well. Again Aquino getting MOTM, setting up 1 and scoring one, helping us to an easy 3-0 victory. In the 2rd round though we faced a much tougher test, a trip to Fratton Park to face Portsmouth. 3 minutes in and I took the lead through Marek Matejovksy but Kranjcar equlised 2 minutes later. 1-1 HT. 78 Minutes and Noel Hunt scores a screamer. it remained like this for the following 12 minutes until Jermain Defoe scores a dramatic 90th minute equaliser. Gutted. Quality then proved as he scored another 2 in Extra Time to complete his hat-trick and take Portsmouth through. FA Cup Put out at the first stage, 3rd Round. Away to Plymouth, where I fully expected to go through but as you know FA Cup provides shocks and this seemed to be one of them. Bet 4-2. League Table Aquino Shane LongMemorable Games
Reading Football Club Second Season Transfers in:Segundo Alejandro Castillo - Red Star - free Stuart Taylor - Aston Villa - £2.3M Fabio Aurelio - Newcastle - £6.25M Xisco - Newcastle - £4M Belletti - Chelsea - loan Total = £12.5M Transfers out:Mikkel Andersen - Brondby - £425k James Henry - Sheff Wed - £22k Nicholas Bignall - Oxford - £110k Gylfi Siggurdson - Barnsley - £210k Harrison Bayley - Oxford - £40k Julian Kelly - Notts Co - £90k Josh Webb - Wrexham - £22k Patrick Cox - Scunthorpe - £150k Adam Federici - Livorno - £1.6M Liam Rosenior - Blackburn - £5M Total = £7.75M League TableFirst season in the promised land and I was expected to finish 20th, rock bottom. I thought it would be a tough struggle the whole season until the 38th game. I thought wrong. In the first 12 games I only picked up 8 points and scored 6 goals so I decided to change formation. After the change I went on a 3 game win streak and won 8 out of 11. I ended up finishing an amazing 10th place, 23 points ahead of the relegation places. Xisco also won Signing of the Season after scoring 14 times in 29 appearances, setting up 5 as well. Shane Long was again out Player of the Year and Top Goalscorer. He scored 30 in 47 and set up 10. Outstanding form for your first Premiership season. Carling CupWent on an outstanding cup run where I was eventually put out in the Semi-Final by Man City, losing 3-2 on aggregate. Our journey began in the 2nd Round against Peterborough. Scraped through 2-1 after another Aquino masterpiece in the Carling Cup. 3rd Round took us to Brammal Lane to face Sheffield United. A nice 4-2 victory this time. the following round was a much tougher test. Away to Newcastle. It was 1-1 with 2 minutes remaining when Noel Hunt scored the winner. Brilliant. The Quarters was even tougher. Chelsea came to The Madejski. I held them for 120 minutes and bet them 2-1 on penaltys. Semi Finals it was ;D I drew Man City with the first leg being played at Eastlands. A comfortable 2-0 victory for them. In the Second Leg they took the lead after 13 minutes courtesy of Michael Johnson. Pretty boring game from then until the 70th minute where we pulled one back. I only needed 2 more but the time won bet us despite Leroy Lita also scoring 4 minutes later. FA CupAnother great cup run this time to the 6th round (Quarters). In the 3rd Round I bet Wolves 2-0. Then a tight 1-0 win against Leicester. After a 2-2 draw against Watford in the 5th Round I won the replay 3-0. Another draw in the 6th Round took us for a replay at St James' Park against Newcastle. They scraped it with a 3-2 victory and I was out. League Table Memorable Games XiscoShane Long

Reading Football Club Third Season Transfers in:Joleon Lescott - Tottenham - £15M Darijo Srna - Shakhtar - £10M John Bostock - Tottenham - £2.5M Total = £27.5M Transfers out:Chris Armstron - Stoke - £1M Radoslav Vasilev - Fulham - £800k Clovis Kamdjo - Leicester - £100k Marek Matejovsky - QPR - £250k Kelvin Bossman - Exeter - £70k Total = £2.2M League TableSecond season in the Premiership and I was expected to finish 16th, personally I was hoping for about 10th again. I ended up finishing in 6th place, guaranteeing Europe next season. I was delighted. I had always hoped for Europe but not for another season or two so this showed I was ahead of schedule. I guaranteed Europe on the last day of the season by getting a 0-0 draw at home to Tottenham. No prizes for guessing who won Top Goalscorer and Player of the Year, yep Shane Long again. The man is a legend. He scored 25 goals in 43 appearances with 7 assists. He also won Irish Player of the Year and Young Irish Player of the Year for the 2nd year running. With this he also became Highest Reading Goalscorer of All Time. Carling CupDissapointingly out at the 2nd Round. Another shock but the same team. Plymouth. 2-1 they won at their ground. FA CupOut at the 5th round this year. In the 3rd Round I faced Bristol City. Comfortable 2-0 victory. Same scoreline a round later against Colchester. For the 2nd year running I faced Watford in the 5th Round and for the 2nd year running we drew 2-2 so faced a replay. This time they bet me 3-2. Quite disappointed with this. League Table Memorable Games The game that clinched Europe ^ XiscoShane Long

I inspired a couple of my friends as well lol who both asked me the same question. I think Reading, Ipswich, Derby or QPR. Someone along the same lines as them.

Just about to play our first ever game in Europe, away to Atletico Madrid. A tough one but a draw would be great.

Well I did say a draw would be great but after having 15 shots to their 8 and 56% of the possession I feel we could have nicked it. They got a man sent off on 89 minutes but I didn't have enough time to counter it, despite putting 4 up front for injury time.

Reading Football Club Fourth Season Transfers in:Nigel de Jong - HSV - free Jefferson Farfan - Schalke - free Tomas Hubschman - Sevilla - £16M Francesco Modesto - Empoli - £9.25M Kelvin Etuhu - Man City - loan Park Ji Sung - Man Utd - £725K Total = £26M Transfers out:Giles Barnes - Everton - £10M Thomas Browne - Burton - £220K Oliver Kelly - Darlington - £80K Jem Karacan - West Brom - £220K Total = £10.5M League TableStarted off looking extremely positive, being top after 7 games but I then played 2nd place Man City who bet me 2-0. This signalled my downfall and I ended up finishing a disappointing 10th place. Very disappointed come the end of the season actually. Looking to be a few places higher come the same time next season. An even better season for Shane Long beleive it or not. Again he won Reading Top Goalscorer and Player of the Year, alongside Irish Player and Young Player of the Year. Wait to you see his goalscoring record in Europe..! Aquino also had a more important role in the first team although it wasn't guaranteed every week as he was fighting for it with Xisco, Farfan, Long and Park Ji-Sung, all whom were performing very well despite the team as one being poor. James Harper was exceptional in central midfield as well, winning the award for most assists in the Prem. Carling Cup Made it to the Quarter finals where I was trounced 3-0 by Boro at the Riverside 3rd Round took us to Ipswich where we comfortably won 3-0. 4th Round was an even easier scoreline, 4-0 at home to Bolton. Young Thomas Lyskov scored his 1st goal for the club just 9 minutes after coming on. And Middlesbrough hammered us as I said in the next round. FA Cup Another journey to the 6th Round which I was pleased about. A familiar side in Watford faced us in the 3rd Round but we made up for the previous seasons disappointment by beating them 4-0. 4th Round we were away to Brentford. Xisco got a brace to put them out. 5th Round was another easy home tie. This time Doncaster came calling. 3-0 Victory. 6th Round is where I met a big name. Man City came to the Madejski again. The game finished 0-0 so we had to go to Eastlands. I lost all hope. If I was to go to the Semis I would have to beat them at home. Robinho double and a Walcott strike sent me home empty handed. ;D UEFA Cup ;D In the 1st Round I got drawn to Malmo FF. I won the 1st leg 3-0 at the Madejski and then 2-0 over in Sweden. Shane Long got a hat-trick in the 1st leg . In the Group stage I got drawn againt AIK, Atletico Madrid, Lokomotiv Moscow and Steaua Bucharest. In the first group game I faced the toughest, Atletico in Spain. I took a draw from them, Shane Long scoring our only goal. In the next game I faced Steaua Bucharest at the Madejski. I won 3-0 with Shane Long scoring 2 and James Harper getting the other. 3rd Group game took us over to Russia to play Lokomotiv. I pumped them 4-0 ;D ;D Shane Long, the fucking legend scored another hat-trick. Final group game we were home to AIK. Another pumping, this time we won 4-1. You will never guess who got a hat-trick? Yep Shane Long. He scored 3 hat-tricks in his first season in Europe. I finished top of my group to my surprise and delight. In the 1st Knockout I got drawn against Feyenoord. I knew it would be tough but I could sneak it if we battled at home. We went to Holland for the 1st leg and at half-time it looked disastrous. They were 2-0 up. Come 90 minutes Shane Long has scored 2 and we had drew 3-2! Aquino also netting. In the 2nd Leg it was very nervy but we won 3-1. Jefferson Farfan netting twice in the last 10 minutes as we caught them on the counter attack. Sadly we got a tough draw in 2nd Knockout against Bayern. They won 2-1 in the Allianz and I held them to a 2-2 draw at our place. They went through 4-3 . Despite this Shane Long finished Top Goalscorer in the competition with 15 goals .
