quick question, has anyone ever found a fix to stop the game slowing as seasons go by? Ive always had this problem with diff versions of fm, is it best to select small player database? My pc aint too bad with 2 gig of ram, Intel core 2 2.66ghz, i tend to select just 7 leagues with a few just viewable even though it recommends more.
cheers in advance

If you would like to continue the game as it's in real life, only way is to save the game and continue it next day and repeat same thing every day.

sorry didnt explain it properly, loading times and progressing through the season takes longer as i get further into the game so when it gets to say 2013, the game is slower as if the file size is getting larger. is there a way to fix that to keep the game running smoothly.

There is, you could upgrade your memory which would be expensive or delete some programs in computers that you never use, and it might get a little quicker i assume?

Im sure there is a way mate, but for the life of me cant remember (no help I know) I think it was something to do with compressing your files or something like that.
best to have a search on the SI site as thats where I found it

Oh yeah! You go into preferences ingame and there should be an option saying compress save game files or something like that, with a little check box, tick that and it should speed up . However if you use any editing or scotu tools on FM they'll no longer work if they work by reading your save game files.
